Along with the ability to land on a multitude of surfaces with the appropriate landing gear option, the Twin Otter’s field performance is outstanding. With an all-engine takeoff distance (TOD) performance to 50 feet under normal wheeled operations of 1490 feet, the aircraft is 45% better than the Grand Caravan, 20% better than the LET410 and 13% better than the Dornier 228NG. The Twin Otter is the only commercial utility turbine to offer such short runway performance capabilities.
With twin Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 engines, along with approximately 800 other modifications to the original de Havilland model, the Viking Series 400 Twin Otter is equipped to perform many roles, including parachute operations, cargo transport, emergency services, and personal use.
Operated in 30 countries on six continents, the Twin Otter helps operators succeed in rugged environments and remote regions. Contact us below to receive more details about performance for your unique mission type.
