Program Overview

The objective of the Avionics Upgrade Program (AUP) is to incorporate modernized technologies in communications, navigation, surveillance and air traffic management functionality in an integrated platform that will provide longevity for the Canadair CL-215T and CL-415 fleet.

Viking recognizes the growing need to upgrade avionics to meet current technical and air traffic requirements while addressing new operational requirements over a 25+ year horizon. With over 100 global operators of Canadair amphibious aircraft, this upgrade is crucial in developing a supportable avionics platform that not only addresses issues inherent with aging aircraft, but provides seamless interoperability and maintainability options for future fleet expansion.

The AUP Solution
