Nasoso, Nadi, Fiji, August 24th, 2017: Viking Air Limited of Victoria, BC, Canada and Fiji Airways, of Nadi, Fiji, have signed an agreement for three Twin Otter Series 400 aircraft for use as regional commuters servicing Fiji Airways’ domestic routes throughout the island nation. An option for one additional aircraft will also accompany the deal.
The Series 400 Twin Otters are scheduled for delivery between October 2017 and February 2018, and will be added to Fiji Airways’ existing fleet of three legacy Twin Otter aircraft based at Nadi International Airport. Fiji Airways has been operating Twin Otter aircraft for over ten years, and as Fiji’s National Airline, is strategically placed to expand the Twin Otter Series 400’s presence in the region.

The Series 400 Twin Otters will be delivered as standard land planes in 19-passenger configuration, and equipped with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 turbine engines and Honeywell Primus Apex fully integrated digital IFR avionics suite.
