Aurora Airlines Presented with Certificate for Achieving 10,000 Flight Hours

On January 22, 2018, Viking Air Ltd. had the pleasure of delivering a certificate to Aurora Airlines (part of Aeroflot Group) marking their significant achievement of reaching 10,000 flight hours on the DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 400, becoming the first operator in Russia and the CIS to hit this milestone. Aurora has been successfully operating the Twin Otter for 3 years, during which they’ve logged over 7,254 flights and carried 84,787 passengers. With 13 active routes and more planned for 2018, the airline continues to grow their regional network and solidify the Twin Otter’s important role as the most fitting and reliable aircraft for the job!

The handover took place at the Vladivostok International Airport as a scheduled flight came in from the town of Terney. To accept the certificate, Mr. Dmitry Tyschuk, the First Deputy General Director of Aurora Airlines, was on the tarmac along with Zakhar Khudenko (Deputy Director), Igor Matsenko (Head Engineer), the crew, and Konstantin Barabash of Viking Air Ltd.
