VIKING ACADEMY

Viking Air’s new training initiative, called Viking Academy, is a six week program designed to teach basic, introductory, sheetmetal assembly skills.  The curriculum will include both theoretical and practical learning.  Topics of instruction include:

• Blueprint Reading
• Riveting
• Reaming
• Fasteners
• Sealants
• Structures

Upon completion of the program, the graduates of Viking Academy will have the necessary knowledge and skill to begin their progression in the sheetmetal mechanic classification.

If you are interested in enrolling, please submit your name and resume to Human Resources.  All candidates will be asked to take an aptitude test, followed by an interview with the Academy instructor.  Selection will be based on demonstrated skill, previous work experience and the outcome of the aptitude exam.

• General Labourers
• Entry Level Sheetmetal Apprentices (with less than 6 months experience)
• Anyone interested in persuing a career as a sheetmetal mechanic
